Atlanta -Last November, during Tuskegee’s homecoming celebration Southern Company displayed some Tesla Cars that I believe were modded to their specifications. Many people had never seen a total electric car before! AT&T appears to have taken this one step further with the opening of it’s new studio here in Atlanta.

The Atlanta-based wireless carrier will open a 5,000 square foot innovation center in Midtown, focused on developing technologies to make your wheels into a rolling mobile device.

The AT&T Drive Studio is a “working lab” where AT&T will develop and test connected car technologies — a term that refers to telematics and infotainment systems. The center will have garage bays, a speech lab, a showroom and conference facilities.
