Delta September traffic up 1.8%


Delta Air Lines Inc. reported Wednesday its September system traffic rose 1.8 percent with Latin American routes again leading the way.

Delta Air Lines Inc. reported Wednesday its September system traffic rose 1.8 percent with Latin American routes again leading the way.

The Atlanta-based airline’s domestic traffic was up 1 percent, international traffic increased 2.8 percent, Latin American traffic jumped 13.8 percent and Atlantic traffic was up 2.2 percent.

Delta (NYSE: DAL) flew 13,246,604 passengers in September — up 0.9 percent.

Consolidated passenger unit revenue grew 5.5 percent.

Delta completed 99.9 percent of its flights in September and ran an on-time arrival rate of 90.2 percent.
