Hartsfield-Jackson announces 2013 Thanksgiving travel forecast

Nearly 1.8 million passengers are expected to pass through Hartsfield-Jackson this Thanksgiving season, a 3.3% increase over 2012.

Travelers utilizing planes, trains and automobiles (but mostly planes) to get to loved ones will be on the upswing this Thanksgiving holiday season announced Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport today.

The world’s busiest airport expects a 3.3% increase in Thanksgiving travelers compared to the holiday week in 2012. Approximately 1.8 million passengers are expected to pass through the airport between November 25 and December 2.

“During holiday travel periods, we schedule extra customer care representatives and operations team members to help customers move through the terminal smoothly and to assist travelers as needed,” said Hartsfield-Jackson General Manager Louis Miller.
