Human resources managers might face more tricks than treats when it comes to Halloween and how to wade through policies dictating the types of costumes that are appropriate for the workplace.

But the Society for Human Resource Management warns that HR managers need to move beyond the standard “use good taste and judgment,” because people interpret “good taste and judgement” differently.
