Mayor Reed urges Medicaid expansion in Georgia

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Gov. Nathan Deal have been getting along famously, working together on landing federal funding to deepen the Port of Savannah and supporting the ill-fated TSPLOST referendum.

But that didn’t stop Reed, a Democrat, from speaking out Wednesday in support of Georgia expanding Medicaid coverage under the Affordable Care Act, a move that Deal, a Republican, is refusing to do.
