President Obama to visit Dreamworks Animation during a visit to L.A.

President Obama speaks in the Brady Briefing Room of the White House. (Michael Reynolds / EPA / November 21, 2013)Jay-Z does it, Oprah does it, and apparently Jeffrey Katzenberg does too! (Have close ties with President Obama). Katzenberg and his staff at Dreamworks Animation will receive a visit from President Obama this coming Tuesday at their Glendale offices during his visit to L.A. “On Tuesday, November 26, the president will visit DreamWorks Animation facility in Glendale, California, to deliver remarks on the economy,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said, according to the Los Angeles Times. “The American motion picture and television industry is a growing industry and continues to create thousands of jobs all across the country.”

Katzenberg is a very large Obama campaign contributor and fundraiser.  Last May he raised $15 million during a fundraiser at George Clooney’s house for the Obama campaign.
The president had dinner with Katzenberg in September after an appearance on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
President Obama will use this trip to raise funds for Democratic Congressional & Senate  candidates. His itinerary includes a fundraiser at the Beverly Hills home of veteran media executive Haim Saban. President Obama had planned a similar West Coast fundraising trip in September, but that was scrapped because of the government shutdown and possible military action in Syria.
